Benin - Regional and Cotonou Electrical Distribution Grid Strengthening
The overall purpose of the project is the reinforcement and rehabilitation of the existing electricity distribution system in and around Cotonou and in the regional cities of Parakou, Natitingou, Djougou, and Porto Novo, including conducting the Environmental and Social Assessments (ESIAs) for this work. Works are divided into three activities and include inter alia the following technical measures:
Regional Grid Strengthening Activity:
- New 161 kV infeed including switchgear and transformer, installation of a new 33 kV substation in Natitingou;
- Modification and upgrade from 20 to 33 kV of some 120 km of rural OHL connections near Parakou;
- Upgrade of existing 161 kV installations and upgrade of some 140 km of rural OHLs and associated transformers from 20 to 33 kV in the Djougou area;
- New 63 kV connection, related switchgear modifications, upgrade of some 130 km of rural MV connections from 15 to 33 kV and replacement of associated transformers in the Porto Novo area;

The purpose of this supervision contract is to provide EPS (Elektroprivreda Srbije) with the necessary assistance in the coordination, supervision, and project and site management of three supply contracts.
The technical equipment to be installed under the project includes the following:
- a mobile transformer substation 110/35 kV, 20 MVA (Lot 1)
- three mobile transformer substations 35/10 kV, 8 MVA (Lot 2)

Iraq - German Credit Facility to Assist the Return of IDPs in Iraq (GCFI) – Management and Monitoring Consultant
Rebuilding territories liberated from terrorist activities constitutes a priority to the Iraqi Government as part of its overall objective of long-term recovery and stabilisation. The overarching objective of the GCFI is to contribute to the permanent return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their home locations in Iraq. To this end the GCFI will support investments into the restoration of local economic and social infrastructure. The Programme will cover interventions in the energy, water/sanitations, roads/bridges, education and health sectors, with an initial focus on energy, water/sanitation and roads/bridges.
Major tasks of the Management and Monitoring Consultant (MC) are:- Support ReFAATO in setting up the Monitoring system of the programme

In order to increase the effective installed generating capacity in Benin, a program has been established to attract the participation of Independent Power Producers (IPPs) to develop, design, construct, operate and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facilities in the country. The program includes the development of an IPP institutional framework and standard forms of contract as well as the execution of a competitive bidding process for GoB.
The selected Consultant will structure and lead the transaction process for GoB as Transaction Advisor. The solar PV sites are located in Natitingou (5 MW), Parakou (15 MW), Djougou (10 MW) and Bohicon (15 MW).

Burundi - 220 kV Line Kamanyola - Bujumbura, Associated 110 kV Lines and the 220/110/30/10 kV Substation Bujumbura
The project is part of the "Multinational Project for the Interconnection of the Electrical Networks of the Nile Equatorial Lake Countries" (Projet multinational d'interconnexion des réseaux électriques des pays des lacs équatoriaux du Nil (PMIREL-PLEN) that aims at establishing a 220 kV interconnection between Ruzizi III Substation at Kamanyola (D.R. Congo) and the Rubirizi Substation in Burundi to evacuate the Burundian part of the energy produced by the future 145 MW Ruzizi III Hydropower Plant. The project covers the following technical measures:
- construction of a 220 kV single-circuit line of 80 km length
- construction of a total of 8 km of 110 kV double-circuit lines
- construction of a 30 kV double-circuit line
- construction of a new 220/110/30 kV substation at Rubirizi (2 autotransformers 220/110/30 kV, 48/64/80 MVA with a 18/24/30 MVA tertiary winding)

Ghana - Ghana Electricity Sector Support Project
Since 2007, SECO, together with other international donors, has been financing the Ghana Energy Developing and Access Program (GEDAP) which is hosted by the Ghana Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP) and aims at improving the efficiency of power distribution in Ghana and at increasing access to electricity by the population. The third phase of the programme (GEDAP III) has started in September 2014. Its focus is to increase electricity access through 1) financing electricity distribution infrastructure, 2) renewable energy development and energy efficiency, and 3) institutional strengthening. To support project implementation, SECO has contracted a "backstopper" who will carry out the tasks specified below.

Guinea - Implementation of the National Dispatching
The general objective of this project is the monitoring and control of costs, of the quality and the time schedule of implementation works. The project includes all site works for the implementation of the National Dispatching Centre. Following EDG's long-term master plan, the National Dispatching Centre shall integrate transmission lines of the 60 and 110 kV level. The project has been interrupted due to the Ebola epidemic and new financing.

Burundi - 220 kV Line Kamanyola - Bujumbura, Associated 110 kV Lines and the 220/110/30/10 kV Substation Bujumbura
The project is part of the "Multinational Project for the Interconnection of the Electrical Networks of the Nile Equatorial Lake Countries" (Projet multinational d'interconnexion des réseaux électriques des pays des lacs équatoriaux du Nil (PMIREL-PLEN) that aims at establishing a 220 kV interconnection between Ruzizi III Substation at Kamanyola (D.R. Congo) and the Rubirizi Substation in Burundi to evacuate the Burundian part of the energy produced by the future 145 MW Ruzizi III Hydropower Plant. The project covers the following technical measures:
- construction of a 220 kV single-circuit line of 80 km length
- construction of a total of 8 km of 110 kV double-circuit lines
- construction of a 30 kV double-circuit line
- construction of a new 220/110/30 kV substation at Rubirizi (2 autotransformers 220/110/30 kV, 48/64/80 MVA with a 18/24/30 MVA tertiary winding)
- extension of the 110 kV Substation "RN1" to accommodate the connection of the new 220/110 kV substation
- construction of a new 30/10 kV substation equipped with two 30/10 kV, 10 MVA transformers

Since 2007, SECO, together with other international donors, has been financing the Ghana Energy Developing and Access Program (GEDAP) which is hosted by the Ghana Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP) and aims at improving the efficiency of power distribution in Ghana and at increasing access to electricity by the population. The third phase of the programme (GEDAP III) has started in September 2014. Its focus is to increase electricity access through 1) financing electricity distribution infrastructure, 2) renewable energy development and energy efficiency, and 3) institutional strengthening. To support project implementation, SECO has contracted a "backstopper" who will carry out the tasks specified below.
