Haiti - Construction of a Modern Dispatching
The present project constitutes Component 3 of the new investment programme for the energy sector in Haiti (PRELEN) which is supported by the major donors active in the sector. It aims at assisting EDH in the technical field, more specifically in the construction of a modern dispatching.
The existing dispatching was built in 1981 and manages the 115 and 69 kV levels on the generation and transmission side and the 12.47 kV level on the distribution side. The monitoring and dispatching of the network presently is done through permanent surveillance of the system frequency and by means of radio communication with the operators of the substations and the power plants.

Cambodia - Extension of the medium distribution grid
The objective of the project is to upgrade and expand distribution and transmission infrastructure for increased access to energy, improved electricity services for the rural population and to contribute to primary energy savings.
The tentative scope of the project is the following:- Component 1: Extension of the medium distribution grid (either 22 kV or/and 35 kV, incl. station transformers) in the rural areas
- Component 2: Construction of two new 115/22 kV grid AIS and GIS substations for strengthening the power evacuation to the 22 kV grid

Vetroelecktrane is developing and executing, together with their major shareholders Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company-Masdar and Continental Wind Partners (CWP), a wind farm consisting of 57 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) of 110m hub height and 2.8 MW rated power, 86 km 35 kV cables, main transformer station (35 kV/400 kV; 2x 90 MVA), 11 km double circuit 400 kV OHL and corresponding infrastructure. The consultant has been appointed by the client to manage the project as owner's engineer, providing Project Management Consulting Services (PMC) and site supervision services (including design review, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning, start-up and testing) as well as technical advice and support during negotiations with third parties. Ukraine - South Ukraine Regional Transmission Network Development
NPC Ukrenergo aims at de-bottlenecking the regional network (up to 750 kV) in South Ukraine for more efficient and reliable power supply and at accelerating the integration of solar and wind power into the national power grid within the next 15 years. The Consultant was appointed to assist NPC Ukrenergo to assess the implication of installing sizeable solar and wind power generation capacities in Ukraine.
The project is divided in two phases:
- Phase I: Regional Power Network Development Master Plan and Solar & Wind Power Integration Assessment
- Phase II - Project Preparation of Two Priority Investment Packages.
The assignment has the following main tasks:
- Master planning of the regional power network development at 750, 330, 220 and 110 kV voltage levels in South Ukraine with a 5 and 15-year perspective;
- Determination of the appropriate levels of wind and solar power capacity and appropriate operational and technical parameters for management of such connected capacity;
- Drafting necessary documents regulating technical aspects of solar and wind energy operation in Ukraine;
- Identifying the short and medium-term investments needed to strengthen the regional grid and to increase the capacity of wind and solar power that could be connected in South Ukraine;
- Determination of the required spare generating capacity in an interconnected power system (IPS) based on power balance analysis, type and operational parameters of such generating capacity to compensate fluctuating energy supply by large commercial-scale wind and solar power plants;
- Prioritisation of construction/reinforcement projects to be implemented by 2030;
- Strengthening the Client's capacity to perform better network planning and operation;
- Performing comprehensive technical, economic, commercial and socio environmental feasibility assessment of two projects prioritised among those identified in the master plan.

Ukraine - 750 kV Zaporizhzhia - Kahovska Transmission Line
The present project is part of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine to 2030 and is aimed at improving the regional power system efficiency, stability and reliability on the Crimean peninsula. It consists of the construction of a 750 kV OHL from Zaporizhzhia Substation to the new Kakhovska Substation and related 330 kV connections, as follows:
- construction of 190 km of 750 kV transmission line between Zaporizhzhia NPP and Kakhovska Substation with fibre optic and maintenance workshop,
- construction of a new 750/330/220 kV Substation at Kakhovska, with two 1000 MVA automatic trans-formers and automatic control system,

Mali - Implementation of the National Dispatching Centre
The multiplication of generation sources, the future development of the national transmission network and its interconnection to neighbouring countries require modern means of dispatching so as to facilitate, stabilize and optimise its operation. The construction of a national dispatching centre on the site of Lafiabougou Substation in Bamako has to be seen in this context.
The Consultant's mission generally aims at controlling and managing the related budget, the quality and the implementation period of works. It shall assure the correct realisation of the National Dispatching Centre through the implementation of all necessary site works.

Slovakia - Complex ES Bystricany - Transformation 400 / 100 kV
This project is related to the shutdown of Bohunice V1 NPP and is supported through the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF). It includes the following technical measures:
- Construction of a new 400 kV substation and two new 400/110 kV transformers adjacent to Bystričany 220 kV Substation
- Construction of a new double-circuit 400 kV OHL (30 km) between Horna Zdana Substation and Bystričany Substation and Oslany municipality to connect the new Bystričany Substation to the 400 kV network
- Extension of the 400 kV Substation Horna Zdana by two bays for connection to the 400 kV OHL from Bystričany Substation
- Construction of a new double-circuit 400 kV overhead line (80 km) between the Bystričany and Krizovany Substations, one circuit being operated at the 220 kV level
- Extension of the 400 kV Substation Krizovany by one bay to permit connection to the 400 kV overhead line from Bystričany Substation

Ukraine - 750 kV Zaporizhzhia - Kahovska Transmission Line
The present project is part of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine to 2030 and is aimed at improving the regional power system efficiency, stability and reliability on the Crimean peninsula. It consists of the construction of a 750 kV OHL from Zaporizhzhia Substation to the new Kakhovska Substation and related 330 kV connections, as follows:
- construction of 190 km of 750 kV transmission line between Zaporizhzhia NPP and Kakhovska Substation with fibre optic and maintenance workshop,
- construction of a new 750/330/220 kV Substation at Kakhovska, with two 1000 MVA automatic trans-formers and automatic control system,
- construction of a diversion of the existing 330 kV Novokakhovska - Ostrovska line (2 x 27 km), incl. rehabilitation of the 330 kV Ostrovska Substation, replacement of relay protection and automatics, communication devices, the construction of a control unit at Novokakhovska Substation and the installation of the fiber-optic system Novokakhovska - Kakhovska,
- construction of a diversion of the existing 330 kV Novokakhovska - Kherson line (2 x 15 km), incl. rehabilitation of the 330 kV Khersonska Substation, and the installation of the fibre-optic system Kakhovska - Khersonska

The multiplication of generation sources, the future development of the national transmission network and its interconnection to neighbouring countries require modern means of dispatching so as to facilitate, stabilize and optimise its operation. The construction of a national dispatching centre on the site of Lafiabougou Substation in Bamako has to be seen in this context.
The Consultant's mission generally aims at controlling and managing the related budget, the quality and the implementation period of works. It shall assure the correct realisation of the National Dispatching Centre through the implementation of all necessary site works.

This project is related to the shutdown of Bohunice V1 NPP and is supported through the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF). It includes the following technical measures:
- Construction of a new 400 kV substation and two new 400/110 kV transformers adjacent to Bystričany 220 kV Substation
- Construction of a new double-circuit 400 kV OHL (30 km) between Horna Zdana Substation and Bystričany Substation and Oslany municipality to connect the new Bystričany Substation to the 400 kV network
- Extension of the 400 kV Substation Horna Zdana by two bays for connection to the 400 kV OHL from Bystričany Substation
- Construction of a new double-circuit 400 kV overhead line (80 km) between the Bystričany and Krizovany Substations, one circuit being operated at the 220 kV level
- Extension of the 400 kV Substation Krizovany by one bay to permit connection to the 400 kV overhead line from Bystričany Substation
